No Child is Left Behind
At Nepean Swim & Fitness, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn to swim, build confidence, and develop the life-saving skills that come with being safe in and around the water.
Swimming is more than just a fun activity - it's an essential life skill. Yet for many families, finding the right program for a child with additional needs can be challenging.
That's why we're proud to announce our partnership with Rainbow Club Australia, helping make specialist swimming lessons more accessible for children with disability in the Penrith community.
Supporting Every Child's Swimming Journey
For over 20 years, Rainbow Club has been providing specialist learn-to-swim programs for children with disabilities, helping thousands of families across New South Wales.
Through this partnership, families who require additional support can access Rainbow Club's specialist swimming program before transitioning into our mainstream Learn to Swim program when they are ready.
Our shared goal is simple - to provide every child with the opportunity to enjoy the many physical, social and emotional benefits that swimming offers.
Building Confidence for Life
Nepean Swim & Fitness Marketing Manager, Julie Sheldrake, said the partnership reflects the organisation's commitment to ensuring swimming is accessible for everyone.
"We're excited to be working alongside Rainbow Club to provide more opportunities for children with disability to learn to swim. Every child deserves the chance to gain confidence in the water and develop essential water safety skills. By working together, we're creating pathways that allow children to progress at their own pace while feeling supported throughout their swimming journey."
Rainbow Club Northwest Manager, Ali Searle, said the partnership will help more local families access specialist swimming programs closer to home.
"Our goal is to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn to swim, regardless of ability. By partnering with Nepean Swim & Fitness, we're making it easier for families in Western Sydney to access specialist lessons in a welcoming and supportive environment."
Royal Life Saving Australia's National Drowning Report, children under five continue to represent one of the highest-risk age groups for drowning incidents. Providing children with quality swimming lessons from an early age helps develop essential water safety skills that can last a lifetime.
At Nepean Swim & Fitness, we're committed to ensuring no child is left behind.
Whether your child is beginning their first swimming lesson or requires additional support to achieve their goals, we're here to help every step of the way.
